The Carolyn Sills Combo returns to the historic Palms Playhouse in Winters, CA with their popular Patsy Cline Spectacular show! Winners of the 2018 Ameripolitan Award for Western Swing Group of the Year, The Combo performs a variety of Patsy Cline’s best known hits as well as lesser known songs from her honky tonk roots. Make no mistake however, there are no wigs or costumes in this show. This is straight ahead, genuine country and western music at its finest. The Carolyn Sills Combo is a five-piece group featuring lead singer & bassist, Carolyn Sills, her guitarist husband, Gerard Egan, Charlie Joe Wallace on steel guitar, Jimmy Norris on drums and Sunshine Jackson on harmony vocals & percussion.
The band is hot off the release of their much anticipated Marty Robbins-inspired album ‘Return to El Paso.’ The album is currently climbing the US country, alt-country and Americana radio charts. The first single ‘Feleena’ was named one of the top 20 songs of 2019 by the UK’s Country Music People. In addition, The Combo was recently nominated for two awards from the Academy of Western Artists (Best Album & Best Western Swing Group.) You can expect to hear the group’s own original material blended into the show along with your favorite Patsy Cline classics. The Combo has been touring extensively, logging over 35,000 miles in their tour van over the last year and half. March 7th will be their only area show for 2020.
