It’s everybody’s favorite Christmas show, back for another year at The Palms!
Enjoy off-beat holiday cheer from an all-star lineup of Bay Area musicians including Paul Rogers (Those Darn Accordions), Tim Eschliman (Etta James, Rhythmtown-Jive, Commander Cody), Gregory Leroy Dewey (Mad River, Country Joe, Marty Balin), Austin de Lone (Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe), Turtle Vandermarr (Dan Hicks, Freak Mountain Ramblers), Ken “Snakebite” Jacobs (Kinky Friedman, New Orleans Nightcrawlers, Rhythmtown-Jive), and Blake Richardson (Bobby Hebb, Hot House) joining together to perform original holiday numbers, parodies of unlikely classics, and raucous jugbandizations of seasonal favorites. The Christmas Jug Band has been performing around the Bay Area in various incarnations for over forty years. Their material ranges from holiday pop and jazz classics such as “Winter Wonderland” to more off-beat tunes as “I’m Dreamin’ Of a Wet Christmas” “Santa Lost a Ho” and “Santa Don’t Do It,” performed on harmonicas, washboards, washtub basses, jugs, kazoos, accordions, and scuffed-up guitars. Yes!
Doors open at 6:30 PM. Music begins at 7:00 PM. There will be two 45-60 minute sets with a short intermission.
